Meet the Timothy’s – New Rochelle, NY Wedding and Bridal Makeup Artist

Meet the Timothy’s – New Rochelle, NY Wedding and Bridal Makeup Artist

Hey Beauties,

Meet Rashidah Ferguson – Timothy, a vibrant master mind and beauty enthusiast, who I have known since high school. We reconnected a few years ago via facebook, and immediately bonded over beauty chats.  Rashidah contacted me almost 1 year ago to hire me as her bridal New Rochelle Bridal Makeup artist for her Great Gatsby Themed wedding. A trial was scheduled for the spring, particularly on the day of her bridal shower. During the trial, we went through her skin regimen and discussed her desired look for her wedding day. Rashidah’s pre-wedding regimen consisted of 2 chemical peels 2 months apart, and prior to the wedding. She also exfoliated and masked weekly.

On her wedding day, I arrived at the Residence Inn at New Rock City, New York, and began the Great Gatsby glam for the bridal party. We opted for red lips, as that color complimented the bouquets and gold sequinned gowns nicely.

I started out by priming her already cleansed and moisturized face with Smashbox Studio Foundation Primer. Her brows were filled in with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in Ebony. MAC Paint pot in painterly was applied to her lids. This acts as a base for eyeshadow. I used Stilazzi Matte Eyeshadow in MS14 oh her eyelids and a mix of brown shadows from MAC (Saddle and Embark) to add warmth in the crease of her eyes. I then lined with Inglot Gel Liner in 77. And then finished off the eyes with 2 layers of Ardell Whispies lashes for added volume.

Rashidah has normal skin, and based on her trial we opted for Black Opal creme stick foundations as these have long staying power and photograph well. We used Ben Nye banana powder and MAC Mineralized skin finish powders to highlight and set the foundation. Blushes used were a mix of MAC Raizin blush and blunt. MAC Prep and prime powder was dusted on her t-zone to blot any excess oil. Too faced Cosmetics Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Ruby was applied to her lips.

For the bridesmaids eyes, we chose a neutral smoke eye with Too Faced Chocolate Palette shadows: Semi-Sweet, Marzipan, Triple Fudge, and Creme Brulee. MAC Ruby Woo Matte Lipstick was used on their lips. One layer of Ardell Whispies was applied to each bridesmaids lash.

Many thanks to Rashidah for allowing me to be your New York Bridal Makeup Artist. This was one of my best wedding makeup moments, and I had a blast with Rashidah and her bridal party!
