Hey Beauties, one of our team members posed a question yesterday: “How do you know which makeup is the best overall when in fact there are so many brands?” This is a great question, however there is no one good answer. There is no one brand that works best overall. It is all based on skincare needs and consumer preference. Finding what makeup works best takes time for most women because we all have different skin types and needs. This can become overwhelming, especially if you are uncertain where to start.

First, consider your skin type: Is your skin dry or oily? Is your skin acne prone? Next, What type of coverage are you looking for in foundation? What is your end goal for that type of makeup you are seeking? These are just a few questions that I ask clients/or observe when choosing an appropriate primer, concealer and foundation for them. This helps provide a good base for the face (my canvas) prior to adding shadows, blushes, etc. Choosing the brand is mostly based on cost, sampling, customer and/or artist reviews, and advertising. I suggest you have a one on one consultation to help you choose makeup that most appropriately fits your skincare and personal (or financial) needs.
